The Work & Access scheme was launched the Department of Social Protection on 31 July 2024. This scheme provides substantial funding to support the hiring, retention and progression of disabled employees in the private and not-for-profit sectors. One of the supports available is subsidised funding towards disability and inclusion training for staff, including neurodiversity training, which can subsidise 90% of the costs of the costs of such training up to a maximum of €20,000 every 12 months.
In this document, we outline the criteria for employers to apply for funding under the Work & Access scheme to cover 90% of costs of Neurodiversity training as well as why we believe Braver satisfies the “course” and “trainer” criteria for the scheme.
While every application is considered by the department on a case-by-case basis, our clients have succeeded in obtaining funding in the past for Braver’s neurodiversity training and we provide support to make the application process as pain-free as possible.
